The Synology one-camera license pack allows you to add one camera to the Synology Surveillance station.
Synology Camera License Packs are designed for expanding cameras setup on the Synology Surveillance Station. By default, two camera licenses are installed. By applying the license key on the Surveillance Station user interface, you will be able to set up and manage more cameras on the network.
To find out the maximum number of IP cams supported on each DiskStation, please refer to the specifications of each model.
Special Billing Methods
Synology Surveillance Station has different billing methods for particular cameras, such as panoramic, multi-lens cameras and video server for analog cameras.
In the table above, you can see a detailed example of our billing methods for four different camera types. Certain panoramic cameras (e.g. Axis M3007) which support native dewarping may provide more than one stream (e.g. Quad View, Double Panorama, and Original View) at a time. Each of regular and panoramic cameras requires one license only.
There are two types of multi-lens cameras, fixed lens and removable lens. Fixed lens cameras which provide more than one stream at a time will require one license only. For removable lens cameras, Synology will charge you per channel. Take Axis F44 for example. Axis F44 (with at most four lens) provides up to five channels of video stream. The four channels are corresponded to by the four lens, and the fifth channel is the view of all four cameras combined. If you wish to display all five channels in Surveillance Station, Synology will charge you for five licenses accordingly.
Video servers such as Vivotek VS8801 can connect to up to eight analog cameras. In this case, Synology will charge you for eight licenses accordingly. This rule will also apply to video servers supported in Surveillance Station.
How to install
In Surveillance Station, go to Management > License > then click Add. An installation wizard will guide you through adding camera licenses into Surveillance Station.
* After surveillance Station 7.1, online connectivity is required for license activation.

Pros:Image pro plus download free crack. It makes your additional cameras work.
Cons: I dont like the idea of having to pay for camera licenses. Another thing to keep track of and for $50? Seems high, no other NVR or DVR charges licenses. However synology products do work, but their support is horrible.
Other Thoughts: Bottom line you need this if your installing 2 or more cameras on your system.
Pros: Required to run extra cameras on some Synology models.
Worked just fine to add a third camera to my DS116.
UPDATE June 25 2017: Synology added HTML5 streaming and different stream profiles to work better on mobile and other clients on low-bandwidth connections.
Cons: UPDATE June 25 2017: Synology has added the features I mentioned below! Very happy! Surveillance Station 8.1
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I hope Synology updates the Surveillance Station software to full HTML 5 so that it will work on browsers other than Internet Explorer.
Also please update the mobile app to add video stream quality options to prevent slowness and connection issues on mobile devices. Streaming three 1440p feeds to an iPhone doesn't do too well even when connecting via a local network address.
Pros: Synology NAS = Awesome sauce in every way.
Cons: 4 days to ship a software license via DHL (in the same state).. for something that could be securely emailed.. At least 2 eggs off. Hello McFly.. it's not 1955, and hey the USPS is faster! Please consider some other fulfillment method!!!
To pay $50 for what will likely be 20 characters.. you could western union it, mail a postcard, even carrier pigeons. For $50 someone should just tell me over the phone then buy me a beer.
Even the Lake House was faster.
Other Thoughts: I wonder why bananas are yellow.
Pros: * Excellent price:feature ratio
* Great software
Cons: * None, if expectations aren' t="" unreasonable.="">
Other Thoughts: NAS surveilance solutions aren't for rugged or warm environments. Don't use them there.
If you need to get a camera setup with less than 200 fps, you're on a tight budget and on a time crunch (or any two), this setup is amazing.
Pros: Works with inexpensive cameras
Cons: Way to expensive and falls into the crippleware category.
Other Thoughts: I only need to add one more camera for a total of two. I already had sunk costs with this system. If I were starting from scratch. I would look elsewhere.
Pros: The server works great
Cons: These per-camera licenses are horribly expensive.
Other Thoughts: Synology should ship with fully enabled software - not limited crippleware.
Pros: Pretty complete package.. as good as most any other DVR system on the market. Try the free, built in 1-camera license first to see if you like it.
It's hard to criticize base on features only.
Cons: EXPENSIVE! Yeah, other comparisons were made to THE most expensive systems you can buy BUT I assure you, there are alternatives that cost less than 1 license and supports 24+ cameras with MORE features than this one.
.. and runs on an inexpensive Windows platform.
Other Thoughts: The DiskStation itself rocks! I store 100's of gigs of surveillance video using Blue Iris.
Suite life of zack and cody. Synology IP 4-License Pack
I do not hold this person responsible for what appears to be such a high price for licensing. I believe it is entirely a Synology issue. Nonetheless, I will say that this person who has sold the license to me was very helpful by being quick to respond to my question and upon purchasing, sent me my license in my email within a couple of minutes tops. Here is the key for all who would purchase this license: You may end up searching all over the Internet for the best pricing for these licenses. I did. This is the best price and you get the license immediately if you request it.I do not think that the price is a good value but it is the least expensive available out there. Unfortunately, there is very little competition out there which would have driven the costs down.Nonetheless, this is the definitive place to get your license right now and you don't need to go around wasting your time. Just get it here and do not blame the person for what appears to be such a high price when others are charging sugnificantlymore and you will have to wait days for the license to come in via snail mail.I hope this helps.
